A doctor discusses the experience with some of his young patients who are killed by addiction to harmful substances that, step by step, take away everything from them: is destroyed the brain, muscles, teeth, beauty, human relationships and finally take away their life. You cannot find anything to save them: addiction is powerful. It makes us think about the right questions to ask ourselves before such a delicate field.
Your doctor continues: "One of my patients told me – I'm not afraid to die, I'm more afraid to live – the doctor – The question I want to ask you is – why can people get more scared to live than to die? -"
If you want to understand addiction, you don't just have to look at the negative, but try to understand what it gives you. and what they receive is a help to calm the pain, they receive a sense of peace. – here the question is: – why have these qualities been lost in life? What happened? – The question is not why addiction but why pain! –
There are different types of addiction: there is not only drugs but also the internet, food, consumerism, sex, uncontrolled shopping. .
The subjects in question "never have enough" never feel filled by this void inside: we have this void in our society and many of us look for the filling of it outside when the answer is inside us! If you want answers about someone’s addiction it is wrong to ask general questions, you have to look at their life story.
Dependency arises from the need to fill a vacuum within ourselves that we try to fill from the outside rather than from within ourselves. When we feel empty then we respond, we distract temporarily with the need for power, to feel great. "I love power, without power I feel lost" .. it is curious to compare these realities with those expressed in the Christian and Buddhist religion where the first thing they say no to is power.
You don't need outside power when you already have it inside you!
Power wants to control people while different is to want to teach without forcing and respecting the freedom of every living being. Jesus says that power and reality are within us. We have to look for and find the resources we need inside of us. We can't wait for someone to come and save us.
The three main fears of work are:
– death
– people
– own mind
Now, someone claims that nature is competitive, human nature is aggressive, opportunistic.. is exactly the opposite: human nature is collaborative, creative and generous: People who share information, believe in a better world, this is human nature. If you find yourself with nature be kind to you as with it, this I wish you, THANK YOU!
